I think that this movie got great reviews elsewhere because critics thought it “ought” to be good…– “ought” is the key word.

The Queen (2006)

The movie is very well done, and Helen Mirren deserves the Oscar for her performance, but when it comes to the monarchy, frankly my dear, Rhett Butler speaks for me.

Rated PG-13

Powerfully disturbing (Forest Whitaker’s Oscar was well deserved).

Every DVD purchase should come with a complimentary bottle of Prozac.

Rated R

The Good Shepherd (2006)

I am at a complete loss as to why anyone would want to make this movie, why an actor would want to be in it, or why a viewer might want to watch it; yuck.

Rated R

Happy Feet (2006)

It was cute in some places, funny in some places, had good music in some places, — but definitely over-hyped.
