George Kennedy isn’t Yul Brynner, and Guns of the Magnificent Seven is a pale shadow of the original Magnificent Seven.

The plot doesn’t make much sense, it is more theologically twisted than “The Devil and Daniel Webster,” and it misses a few great opportunities to inject some humor, but it keeps you interested, will make you squirm in your seat and the visuals were comic book good.

I am at a complete loss as to why anyone would want to make this movie, why an actor would want to be in it, or why a viewer might want to watch it; yuck.

Don’t you dare watch this mediocre movie unless you have first read the most excellent book.
